Calcium and Vitamin D

An adequate intake of calcium and Vitamin D is important for keeping bones strong and healthy. This is particularly important as you grow older.

How much calcium do you need?

There are set recommendations on the amount of different vitamins and minerals we should be having. It is recommended that older people have a daily intake of 700mg of calcium and may be given a calcium supplement.
