The human eye

The human eye works like a camera. A camera needs a lens and a film to produce an image. The eye is essentially a closed sphere with an adjustable opening at the front (the lens, cornea, pupil, and vitrous humour) to focus the light and a light sensitive film at the back (retina with macula) on which to focus the light rays and capture the picture. Once the light rays have been focused onto the back of the eye, they are transmitted to the brain where an image is perceived.
