Assessment

During the assessment your GP or the consultant in the hospital will try to find out the reasons behind your fall.

You will be asked about any previous falls, your living arrangements and your medical conditon and medication that you are taking. A doctor or nurse will examine you and carry out some tests such as for vision, co-ordination, reflex and balance.

Depending on the diagnosis you may have to go for further tests or receive further treatment.
