A well balanced diet

Food containing fat and foods containing sugar

These foods are not vital to a healthy diet but can help make your diet more interesting and enjoyable. Try to use these foods in small amounts and choose lower fat and reduced sugar options where possible.

If using oil, try measuring the amount before adding it in cooking. Spoon excess fat off the top of casseroles etc, and use less mayonnaise and oily salad dressings.

If you have sugar in your drinks, why not try an artificial sweetener instead?
