Medication
As we get older, we tend to take more medication. Four in five people over 75 take at least one prescribed drug, and over a third take four or more medicines. We may need to take something to manage our blood pressure, for a heart condition, to sleep better or ease the pain in your arthritic knee. Some of these drugs will be prescribed by a doctor and others may be bought over the counter.
But even the most common and routine drugs can have a potentially dangerous effect, if not used safely. Using your medication with awareness is essential for your health and safety.
