Personal alarm systems
Personal alarm systems allow people to keep their independence and stay in their own home. The system allows you to call for help in an emergency if nobody is around.
The system is usually worn around your neck and has an alarm button. This is linked to your phone. If you are for example ill, injured or have a fall, you press the button and the staff at the response centre will try to get in touch with you through the telephone. If you are unable to reply, they will send someone around. This can be a friend, relative or the emergency services.
